Born in London in 1961, he graduated in 1983 in furniture design from Middlesex University and in 1994 gained his master’s degree in industrial design from the Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in London. Since 1983 he has designed freelance for a number of clients, both private and corporate, and lectured on design at major institutions throughout the UK. For Gervasoni he has designed the “Wind” fans (1997) in striated pulut and the “Bell” lamp (1999) in natural rattan core, adding value to the typical permeability to the air and light of woven products. He currently divides his time between designing furniture and lighting for various British manufacturers and teaching at Kingston University and Central St. Martins College. His work has been exhibited and documented worldwide, most recently through his participation at the Milan Furniture Fair and in The Eco Design Handbook (Thames & Hudson).
