Nicolas Schuybroek - Bowl
Design: Nicolas Schuybroek (2016).
The designer has decided to present a bowl declined in two ways: a feminine and a masculine version of the same object.
The masculine version explores the idea of a carved, solid and heavy everyday object that can be considered as a miniature piece of architecture.
The bowls display simple, elegant shapes and an astute mix of materials: Iranian travertine marble, Egyptian sandstone and perforated bronze, for one; lacquer and nickel, for the other. Solid glass available upon request.
